Real Madrid rule out signing Harry Kane

Spanish powerhouses Real Madrid have all but confirmed they will not be making a move for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.

The 24-year-old is regarded by many to be the best striker in Europe, having managed remarkable 45 goals in 40 appearances for club and country in 2017.

Real Madrid were believed to be hot on his trail, but los Blancos chairman Florentino Perez doesn’t think they can match Tottenham’s asking price.

“Signing Harry Kane has not passed through my head. He is a great player and in addition he is young,” Perez told Cadena COPE.

“He has many years to progress, but we are delighted with (Karim) Benzema and with all of the team.

“I didn’t ask Tottenham’s president for the price because he would have told me that he is worth €250m.”

Spurs will play host to Real Madrid next week after a 1-1 draw at Santiago Bernabeu and Kane is 19/20 to score anytime.
