Nacional defender Rui Correia is a summer transfer target for French side Rennes, according to reports from Portuguese media outlet Abola.
The 25-year-old Portugal international has been one of the major revelations in the Primeira Liga this season having made 32 appearances for Nacional. Correia also scored five goals during the last campaign and his quality performances have alarmed plenty of clubs who vying for his signature.
Earlier this year it was reported that Spanish Malaga were interested in acquiring the services of this versatile 25-year-old footballer who can play at defensive midfield in addition to his centre back role.
However, the French Ligue 1 outfit Rennes have stepped up their interest and are reportedly keen to bolster their ranks with Correia, who has been given all clear to leave National this summer.
National are willing to negotiate the transfer as they are looking to get a €1.5 million transfer fee for the Portuguese defender.
