River’s Kranevitter on Milan radar

Turin-based media outlet Tuttosport understands that AC Milan are hot on the trail of River Plate starlet Claudio Matias Kranevitter.

The Rossoneri boss Filippo Inzaghi has been unhappy with the performances of Michael Essien and Marco van Ginkel, and he reportedly aims to recruit a new central midfielder.

According to Tuttosport, River Plate youngster Claudio Matias Kranevitter is one of the first names on his hit-list.

The holding midfielder came through the youth ranks at Monumental and has already made 41 league appearances for the Argentine giants.

Kranevitter nailed down a regular starting berth midway through last season and in turn managed 6 starts this term.

The 21-year-old also represented Argentina at the Under-20 South American Championship last year, and is now being linked with a big club move.

AC Milan have few more talented youngsters on their radar, including Cruzeiro midfielder Lucas Silva, also linked to Real Madrid and Chelsea, and Fluminense midfielder Marlon.
