Roma plan ambitious move for Vidic

AS Roma are lining up a January move for Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Giallorossi aim to further reinforce the squad in January in an attempt to keep their Serie A title bid alive, and they seem to be readying a bid for the Serbian defender.

Seeing as how the 32-year-old will be out of contract in the summer, Roma will attempt to sign him on a cut-price deal in January.

The fact Manchester United have yet to offer Vidic a new deal is enough to suggest the Serbian may be leaving Old Trafford in the near future, and he will have no shortage of offers in the January window.

Having spent last eight years at Manchester United, the former Serbia international may be interested in a change of scenery, although it remains to be seen if a move to Stadio Olimpico would appeal to him.
