Ronaldo could head back to Manchester United

According to the Daily Star, Manchester United have been put on red alert as Cristiano Ronaldo has apparently become frustrated at the lack of contract talks with his current employers, Real Madrid.

Ronaldo is not happy with the amount he has to pay Real as they take 40 per cent of his individual earnings, which is a lot when you consider the amount that he makes from being such a sporting icon.

The Portugal captain wants to reduce this and feels as though he is not being treated fairly by the La Liga champions and unsurprisingly, United are keen to see how this story develops.

Many believe that United will manage to secure the services of their former attacker one day and if he isn’t happy at the Bernabeu, then a move to Old Trafford certainly would make sense.

Ronaldo doesn’t seem to be a man that is driven by money however, and he would only move for footballing reasons.

If United look like the best football team to go to though and they can offer him a better contract, then one of the best players in the world could be on his way back to the English Premier League.
