Brazil legend Ronaldo reckons Neymar should let his football do the talking on the pitch rather than get involved with rumours about his future.
There has been constant speculation about where Neymar will end up if he eventually leaves Santos and the youngster has also had to deal with criticism from some quarters regarding his recent performances for his country.
However, Ronaldo, who is no to stranger to the pressure that comes on the international stage, having had a reported panic attack the night before their 3-0 World Cup final loss to France in 1998, feels the 20-year-old should ignore the doubters and focus on doing his best for Brazil.
“If I could give him one piece of advice, it would be not to pay too much attention to what people are saying,” Ronaldo told Globe Esporte.
“He should concentrate on training hard and enjoying his football.
“That will go a long way to helping Brazil win the tournament.”
Neymar has scored 16 goals in his 25 appearances for the Selecao, and will look to score more as Brazil face an in-form Colombia on Wednesday.
