According to the Observer newspaper, a deal has already been brokered between Manchester United and Real Madrid to take the world class winger to the Spanish giants.

The Observer claims that the deal “passed the point of no-return weeks ago” and that Ronaldo has agreed terms with Madrid.

All this despite the fact the both clubs have denied any transfer being done already. Manchester United have been infuriated by Real Madrid’s claims that they will sign the player and have reported the club to FIFA, with no luck, over Madrid’s supposed ‘tapping up’ of the star.

And Real Madrid have constantly claimed that Ronaldo will sign for the club, or that Ronaldo would do well at the club, or he should go on strike at United etc…

However, with neither club daring to admit a deal has been done, The Observer claim that a Manchester United official has admitted to the deal being done.

The un-named source told The Observer: “They have been talking for at least two months, and it was all agreed with Real Madrid two weeks ago.”

“All this chat from Ramón Calderón that he does not want to upset Manchester United, and Cristiano Ronaldo cannot be bought because he belongs to another club, is absolute rubbish.” said the United source.

“Discussions have gone way beyond the point of no return. Sir Alex Ferguson knows this now so you can imagine how it has gone down.”

If the source’s claims prove to be true, then it seems that the deal was done without the permission of United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and that the move was done between the Glazier family and the Madrid board.
