Rose set for new Spurs contract

Danny Rose is the latest Tottenham Hotspur player in line for a new contract, according to the Mirror.

The full-back was one of a number of stand-out performers as the North London side secured a third place finish in the Premier League last season and is set to be rewarded with improved terms.

The news comes on the day his teammate Eric Dier put pen to paper at White Hart Lane while Christian Eriksen has also signed while Jan Vertonghen, Kyle Walker and Dele Alli are all in talks.

Rose signed for Spurs from Leeds United in the summer of 2007 and has since racked up one hundred and twenty-six appearances for the club in all competitions scoring nine goals – the latest of which coming in last month’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool.

He has been capped eight times by England with three of those outings coming at this summer’s European Championships.
