Atletico Madrid are keeping close tabs on Malaga winger Samu Castillejo, AS has suggested.
Los Colchoneros have been watching the youngster on several occasions this season and they had the scouts present at weekend’s clash between Malaga and Cordoba.
According to the latest reports, Atletico Madrid officials have been impressed with the 20-year-old footballer and could come forward with a formal offer in the summer.
Los Colchoneros hope to purchase Samu in the summer transfer window and then allow him to remain with Malaga for another season, but their league rivals do not appear interested in such an arrangement.
The talented winger has seen his stock rise a great deal over the last year or so, having only been promoted to the senior squad last summer.
Samu has since done brilliantly to nail down a regular starting berth at La Rosaleda and has so far managed one goal and four assists in 25 La Liga outings.
