Sanchez set for improved Arsenal deal

The Mirror understands that Alexis Sanchez is in line for a new contract at Arsenal, which could see him become the club’s highest paid player.

The Chile international is set to be offered a fresh five year deal after impressing everybody at the North London club with his performances and commitment.

Since signing for the Gunners in the summer of 2014, the twenty-six year old has made sixty-two appearances in all competitions, scoring thirty-one goals – one of which came in the FA Cup final victory over Aston Villa back in May.

Mesut Ozil is currently Arsenal’s highest earner on £140,000 per week and is also in line for improved terms while Spanish defender Nacho Monreal has already agreed a deal to remain at the club despite being linked with a move away last summer.

Arsenal travel to Watford on Saturday, and the away win can be backed at a price of 4/7.
