Sergio Aguero linked with Atletico Madrid return

Spanish daily newspaper Marca has learned that Atletico Madrid are showing interest in former player Sergio Aguero.

Los Colchoneros appear to have come to terms with losing star forward Antoine Griezmann at the end of the season and they will attempt to replace him with the Manchester City striker.

According to reports, Aguero would be interested in returning to Madrid, but he wants to postpone any discussions for after the 2018 World Cup.

The 29-year-old managed 74 goals in 175 La Liga outings for Atletico Madrid before moving to Manchester City, where he has continued the rich vein of form.

However, Aguero appears to be looking for a new challenge after spending last seven years at Etihad Stadium, bagging 143 goals in 206 Premier League outings.
