Competition: Premier League
Market: Southampton and Man Utd to draw
Odds: 21/10 @ Coral

Southampton host Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend, and are hoping to pick up where they left off when the two sides last locked horns in the division. Ronald Koeman’s men picked up all three points at Old Trafford last season, and could enjoy back-to-back wins against the Red Devils if they come out on top at St Mary’s.

Southampton have had an indifferent start to the campaign, losing just once in five, but also only winning once too. The South Coast outfit have three clean sheets on the bounce in the Premier League, and have momentum ahead of what promises to be a difficult fixture on Sunday afternoon.

Koeman’s side have an advantage over United, with the hosts having a full week to recover from their last bout, while the Red Devils had just three days to prepare following their midweek defeat against PSV in their Champions League opener. Manchester United’s form has been shaky of late too, with Louis van Gaal’s side having dropped points in three of their last four games in all competitions, so the home side will be confident.

Southampton have five points from a possible nine in the Premier League, so Koeman will be hopeful of a result. The two managers are rivals with a past fallout at Ajax being the cause, so it’s all to play for on Sunday. The Saints have a good recent record against Manchester United, with the home side having won one and drawn two of their last four meetings in the Premier League, but they haven’t beaten the Red Devils at St Mary’s since 2003 so the pressure is on.
