Hamilton plunged a step closer to relegation after drawing 1-1 at home to Aberdeen on Monday.

Accies goalkeeper Tomas Cerny saved a penalty from Chris Maguire early in the second half.

And Hamilton went ahead soon after when Dougie Imrie slotted home a fine finish from Nigel Hasselbaink’s pass.

But the Dons levelled when Nick Blackman was on hand to knock in a pass from Maguire.

Hamilton stay rooted to the foot of the Scottish Premier League, nine points behind St Mirren, who drew at Hibs on Sunday.

With just four games remaining, Billy Reid’s side need a miracle to prevent them dropping into Division One.
