Struggling Dortmund 7/1 to finish in the bottom two this season following poor form

Borussia Dortmund recently lost 1-0 at home to Augsburg in the league to throw away their chance of lifting themselves from the foot of the table. They are currently enduring a five-game winless run, picking up just two victories in their last 16 games.

Manager Jurgen Klopp and the players haven’t been able to pinpoint what the problem has been, but BVB just cannot rectify their form in the division. They started the new season strongly too, winning two of their opening three matches, but things spiralled after that.

And while there was a resurgence between November & December, Dortmund are now back losing games and dropping points every week. Many dismissed the idea that last season’s runners-up could really stay at the bottom of the pack for the entire campaign, but the worry is creeping in given the recent run of results.

888 Sport are giving odds of 7/1 for Jurgen Klopp’s side to finish the season in the bottom-two, which would be the biggest shock of the campaign, and resulting in their relegation from the top-flight.
