The Sun reported today that Carlos Tevez had hinted that he wants to play in Spain, however these rumours were based on comments made by the player which were taken out of context:
“Maybe one day I’ll play in the Spanish league but there’s a long way to go,
“At the moment I am happy here. I know many South Americans prefer to play in Italy or Spain when they move to Europe,” said Tevez
“But I’m happy here. It’s the best league in the world.â€Â
Carlos Tevez has not yet signed a permanent deal with Manchester United as he is currently on loan from MSI, the company who holds his rights. Tevez’ striker partner, Wayne Rooney, recently claimed that it was vital that the club makes the Argentine’s move permanent. The club also hinted last summer that the fee is already in place to complete the deal.
Manchester United fans are waiting anxiously for the deal to done, but the comments made by Tevez, who clearly stated that he is happy where he is, not just once but many times over the course of the season, will not have added to that worry. It seems that, just like Marca is doing in Spain, The Sun is just trying to grab attention with quotes taken out of context.
