Competition: Europa League
Market: Tottenham to win against Anderlecht
Odds: 8/13 @ Betfair

Tottenham host Anderlecht in the Europa League this week, with the Londoners in need of all three points to boost their chances of qualifying for the next round of the competition. Currently outside the top-two places in Group J, a win for the in-form Spurs would see them overtake tonight’s opponents Anderlecht in the table, putting their destiny in their own hands with two games to play.

Tottenham have been in fantastic form in recent weeks to put themselves in the best possible shape to get a result in Europe, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men having won four and drawn two of their last six Premier League outings. The Londoners have scored eight goals in their previous two top-flight games, but suffered defeat in their last Europa League meeting to Anderlecht.

Home advantage could see them get revenge in the reverse fixture, with their Belgian opponents having dropped points in three of their last five away games in the league, and Tottenham cannot afford to fall short again. Third in Group J after three games, Spurs can finish the evening top of the pack depending on results, and now is the time to deliver with the players firing on all cylinders.

Tottenham have been hard to beat this season, boasting a fine defensive record for their troubles, and if they want a long stay in the Europa League this time round, they have to start delivering on home soil against supposed inferior opposition. Spurs should come out on top against Anderlecht at White Hart Lane on Thursday night.
