Toulouse and En Avant advance in Coupe de France

Toulouse and En Avant Guingamp are through to the semi finals of the French Cup, beating Lille and Sedan Ardennes respectively.

The match between Toulouse and Lille required extra time after a goalless 90 minutes. Michel Bastos then made it 0-1 on 105 minutes but a relieved home crowd saw how Xavier Pentecote equalised five minutes later, forcing a penalty shoot-out.

In that shoot-out, the hosts were the better side and secured a spot in the semi’s.

Tuesday’s other game was a clash of two Ligue 2 sides, Sedan and En Avant Guingamp. Alexis Allart put the hosts ahead on 18 minutes but Manuel Dos Santos levelled 20 minutes later.

Wilson Oruma made it 1-2 in the 63rd minute and Eduardo netted the third and final goal in the 74th.

On Wednesday, Grenoble host Monaco while Rennes face Rodez AF to fill in the remaining two semi final spots.
