Turkish giants offered a chance to sign Nicolas Gaitan

La Liga heavyweights Atletico Madrid are said to have offered the out-of-sorts midfielder Nicolas Gaitan to several big-name Turkish outlets who have it until Friday to complete their transfer dealings.

The Spanish media outlet Diario AS has learned that Rojiblancos have put up their playmaker on auction and presented him to four Istanbul-based football clubs Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Istanbul Basaksehir.

The 29-year-old was previously offered to West Ham and Watford in the Premier League but given the fact the summer deal failed to materialize, the Rojiblancos are making one last attempt to get Gaitan off their books and to allow him to secure regular playing time outside Vicente Calderon.

The Argentina playmaker made only one La Liga appearance last season completing paltry 21 minutes on the pitch.

The 29-year-old joined Atletico Madrid from Benfica last summer in a deal worth €25 million. He ended up scoring four goals and grabbing five assists in 36 appearances for the Spanish side across all competitions during last 12 months.
