Valencia keen on Keneth Vermeer

Voetbal International understands that Valencia are keeping close tabs on Ajax shot-stopper Keneth Vermeer.

Los Che have two excellent keepers in Diego Alves and Guaita, but it appears that neither is too satisfied with club’s unique rotation policy.

Unai Emery was the first boss to start using one keeper in La Liga and another in the Champions League, with Mauricio Pellegrino and Ernesto Valverde both staying true to the interesting approach.

Valencia are now being linked with Ajax goalkeeper Keneth Vermeer, who seems to be in the best form of his career.

The 27-year-old has been impressing at Amsterdam ArenA this term, while he also managed to nail down a regular starting berth in the national team, pushing former teammate Maarten Stekelenburg out of the starting line-up.

Vermeer has a contract until June 2015 at Ajax, and he might be interested in a fresh challenge having spent his entire career at the club.
