Newly-promoted Premier League side Burnley have agreed a one-year contract extension with veteran defender Graham Alexander.
The 37-year-old Scotland international played a key role last season in the Lancashire side’s drive through the playoffs into the top flight for the first time in 33 years.
Alexander played 61 games for Burnley during the season, scoring 11 goals in the process.
The defender’s new deal follows that of manager Owen Coyle, who recently signed a two-year extension to his contract.
