Villarreal to lauch a new assault on Canales

Villarreal are ready to reignite their interest in Real Madrid midfielder Sergio Canales, according to Marca.

Jose Mourinho doesn’t see the young midfielder as an important player of the squad and he could be prepared to cash in on him this summer.

The player himself has recently hinted that he was eager to play first team football and he may now have the chance to do so at Villarreal.

The Yellow Submarine sees the 20-year-old as the perfect replacement for Malaga-bound Santi Cazorla and they are just waiting for that transfer to be completed before sending in a formal offer for Canales.

With Villarreal set to earn around €22 million from the sale of Cazorla, they will have more than enough money to secure the signing of the Real youngster.

The El Madrigal outfit have already signed Cristian Zapata, Javier Camunas and keeper Cesar Sanchez.
