Watford have completed the signing of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Etienne Capoue for a club record fee, according to Sky Sports.
The 26 year old moved to White Hart Lane from French side Toulouse in the summer of 2013, and went on to make eighteen appearances in all competitions in each of his two seasons with the North London club, scoring twice.
Internationally, he has seven senior caps for France while his one and only goal for his country so far coming in a 3-1 World Cup qualification win over Estonia in September 2012.
The fee of £6m paid by the Hornets far surpasses their previous record of £3.25m, which the laid out for Nathan Ellington eight years ago.
Capoue is the fifth new arrival at Vicarage Road this summer, following goalkeeper Giedrius Arlauskis, defenders Jose Holebas and Sebastian Prodi and striker Matej Vydra.
Watford begin their first season back in the top flight with a trip to Everton on August 8th, and 7/2.
