Wenger promises ‘top quality’ replacements for Ozil and Sanchez

Premier League giants Arsenal are set to lose two of their star players – Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez – perhaps as early as this January transfer window, and fans have been dreading the moment of their departures.

Thankfully veteran manager Arsene Wenger has put their minds at ease by declaring that the Gunners will bring in ‘top quality’ replacements for the duo, according to the Evening Standard.

Speaking this week, Wenger said, “First of all we have not lost them yet, and secondly we will respond to that by bringing in players of top quality.”

With Arsenal fighting for a top four spot and qualification to next season’s Champions League, minimising the impact of losing Ozil and Sanchez will be the top priority.

Arsenal currently sit fifth in the Premier League table, though they have played one more game than their North London rivals Tottenham, who are just one point behind them.
