Werder sign Yuya Osako from FC Koln

Bundesliga outfit Werder Bemen have announced they have agreed a deal to sign FC Koln forward Yuya Osako.

The club announced the new signing via their official Twitter account, giving the player a chance to remain in Bundesliga after his previous club were relegated.

Yuya Osako had joined FC Koln four years ago from 1860 Munchen, going on to score 15 goals in 108 Bundesliga outings.

Operating as a secondary striker or right winger, the 27-year-old has fared pretty well over the last couple of years, also scoring 2 goals in 6 Europa League matches this term.

The Japan international now gets a chance to prove his worth at Werder Bremen and we will have to wait and see how he will fare at Weserstadion.
