Sporting CP are set to reward star player William Carvalho for staying at Estadio Jose Alavalade in spite of the heavy interest from abroad, according to A Bola.

The highly rated midfielder has been linked with quite a few top clubs over the last couple of years, but he has so far resisted temptation to leave the Lions for greener pastures.

Carvalho signed a new deal with Sporting back in February and under the terms of the agreement, the Lions would be obliged to pay the 24-year-old €5 million in case an interested side offered to pay €35 million in cash for the player and the club rejected the proposal.

That did not turn out to be necessary as said offer never arrived, but the Lions are, nonetheless, ready to give the midfielder an extra incentive to keep giving his best for the club.

Sporting CP officials will increase the amount of various bonuses Carvalho could earn depending on his performances, which clearly shows they value their star player highly.
