World-class keeper drops Manchester United hint

Bayer Leverkusen keeper Rene Adler said in no uncertain terms that his dream is to play for Manchester United, adding fuel to speculations linking him with a move to Old Trafford.

The Germany international revealed his desire to play for Manchester United one day in the future.

“Everybody knows that Man U is my dream, I have a clause in my contract allowing me to leave,” Adler said.

“I have told Leverkusen I want to wait until April before discussing my future.

“I want to have a free mind so that we can achieve our goal of qualifying for the Champions League.”

Manchester United are yet to make their interest in the Germany international public, but it is thought Sir Alex Ferguson sees Adler as one of the potential targets next summer.
