10th February: Sunday’s Football Accumulator – 17/1

With another action-packed Sunday of fixtures from across the country, we here at Soccer News have selected a few helpful tips that can boost your weekend acca:

Sunday 10th February

BST 12:00 Norwich vs Ipswich

Picking up a 3-1 win over fellow title contenders Leeds last weekend and now sat top of the Championship table, the mood in Daniel Farke’s camp couldn’t be any higher. Continuing their impressive run entering the New Year, the Canneries have now lost just one of their last 18 league appearances. Tipped by many to be a leading contender in the race to book a return to the Premier League, Sunday’s hosts have also been catching the eye with their clinical form in the final third. Currently holding the second best-attacking record in England’s second-tier, one man to watch for Farke’s side will be leading goalscorer Teemu Pukki. Once again finding the net at Elland Road last weekend, the 28-year-old has 22 goals this season, including three in his last three. Given their local rivals woeful run of form this season, Norwich and Pukki should be confident of extending their unbeaten record. Still sat rock bottom at the foot of the Championship table, the Blues hold the worse defensive record in the Championship. Also losing their last seven away matches on the bounce, we’re backing Farke’s side to carry pick up a decisive victory this weekend.

Tip: Home win and over 2.5 goals @ 21/20

14:00 Atalanta vs SPAL

Picking up an outstanding 3-0 win over Juventus and knocking the defending champions out of the Coppa Italia, few would have expected Atalanta’s resurge entering the New Year. Winning five of their last six and also now unbeaten in any of their last eight, another win on Sunday could see them climb into the top-four. One man who is really spearheading Atalanta’s push for Champions League football is leading goalscorer Duván Zapata. Heavily linked with a move away from Serie A last month, the 27-year-old bagged a brace against Juventus last week and already has 15 goals to his name. Now holding the best minuets per game ratio in Italy’s top-tier, the Zapata has also now scored a staggering 16 goals in his last 10 matches across all competitions. With SPAL quickly freefalling down the table and with one eye over their shoulder, the Colombian international should be looking to extend his tally. Sunday’s visitors have recorded just one win in their last 14 Serie A matches, a run that stems all the way back to the middle of October. Shipping 14 goals in just their last seven matches on the road, we’re backing Zapata to enjoy another successful afternoon in front of goal.

Tip: Duvan Zapata to score 2+ goals @ 10/3

16:00 Rennes vs Saint Etienne

Picking up a very eye-catching 2-1 win and knocking Lille out of the Coupe de France, Rennes will be looking for a European push in the second half of the season. Enjoying a two-match winning run across all competitions and their only defeat coming against PSG in their last six appearances, another win for Julien Stéphan’s side on Sunday could see them end the weekend as high as fifth in the Ligue 1 table. A huge part of Rennes resurge in 2019 has come thanks to their recent success at Roazhon Park. The Red and Blacks are unbeaten in their last eight matches at home and have remarkably won seven of those contests. Given Saint Etienne’s recent blip, Rennes should be looking to capitalise. Coming off the back of another worrying display in their 1-1 draw away at struggling Nantes, the visitors have failed to win any of their last three matches, including a humiliating 6-3 loss at home to Dijon in the Coupe de France. With Jean-Louis Gasset now watching his side record just one win in their last seven matches on the road, we’re backing another difficult afternoon for Saint Etienne.

Tip: Home win @ 1/1
