15th December: Sunday’s European Accumulator – 7/1

With a hectic Sunday afternoon of footballing action from across Europe’s top-tiers, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helfpul tips that can boost your weekend acca:

Sunday 15th December

BST 11:00 Getafe vs Real Valladolid

Starting with Sunday’s hosts, putting in a dominant display and booking their spot in the knockout stage of this year’s Europa League with a thumping 3-0 win over Krasnodar in midweek, Getafe have continued on quite the run of form. Opening the weekend with only their goal difference keeping them from climbing into the top-four, José Bordalás men have won their last four matches across all formats and there is no doubt that fans around the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez will be most impressed by their side’s recent success at the back. The Blues have recorded clean sheets in all of their last four matches on the bounce and unbeaten in La Liga since the 27th of October. It should also be noted that Getafe have conceded just a single goal in their last four matches on home soil. Given Valladolid’s continued issues in the final third and failing to win any of their last four domestic matchups, Sunday’s hosts should be confident of extending their winning run in a comfortable fashion this weekend. Playing out back-to-back 0-0 draws against Celta Vigo and Real Sociedad, Real have failed to record a single strike in any of their last four appearances.

Tip: Getafe win to nil @ 13/10

14:00 Bologna vs Atalanta

Pulling off what was a remarkable comeback to secure a spot in the knockout stage of this year’s Champions League, there is no doubt that Atalanta are enjoying their brightest run of the season so far. Just a single point adrift of reclaiming their spot in the top-four in the Serie A standings, La Dea have won their last four matches across all competitions and have really started to shine in the final third. Head Coach Gian Piero Gasperini has seen his side bag a trio of strikes in each of their last three matches on the bounce, a run that also saw them pick a thumping 3-0 win away at Shakhtar Donetsk in midweek. Even more impressive, no side in Italy’s top-tier can boast a better-attacking record than Sunday’s hosts. Also landing back-to-back victories away from the Gewiss Stadium, Atalanta should be confident of extending on their winning run this weekend. Suffering a 3-2 defeat against fellow strugglers AC Milan last time out, Bologna have lost their top half status and will still be feeling the effects of their embarrassing 4-0 Coppa Italia hammering against Udinese last week. Even more worrying, Sunday’s hosts have won just one of their last seven appearances across all competitions.

Tip: Atalanta win @ 19/20

16:30 Arsenal vs Manchester City

While Manchester City still might be enduring their most difficult run under Pep Guardiola, there is no doubt that the defending Premier League champions will be boosted by their 4-1 win away at Dinamo Zagreb in midweek. With a spot in the knockout stage of this year’s Champions League confirmed with time to spare, fans around the Etihad have their sights simply set on trying to close the buffer on league leaders Liverpool. If the Sky Blues are to bounce back from their derby day defeat against Manchester United last weekend, then the one-time Barcelona boss will be calling on Gabriel Jesus to lead their charge in North London. Picking up the match ball with a hat-trick on foreign soil on Wednesday evening, the Brazil starlet has five goals in his last three matches across all competitions. Even more impressive, City’s deputy striker has scored 10 goals in his 11 matches away from the Etihad and should be confident of extending that tally on Sunday afternoon. Despite managing to pick up a flattering 3-1 win away at relegation scrappers West Ham earlier in the week, the Gunners once again shipped a pair of goals against Standard Liège on Thursday evening and have won just one of their last 10 matches across all formats.

Tip: Gabriel Jesus to score anytime & Manchester City to score over 1.5 goals @ 20/21
