With the festive period providing a huge amount of games, every side across Europe will be desperate to claim a win and boost their hopes with three points invaluable to every team regardless of whether they are in the relegation zone or at the top of the table. With this in mind, we have found a number of interesting bets for you to take a look at.

Saturday 16th December

14:30 BST Eintracht Frankfurt vs Schalke

Eintracht Frankfurt have been in good form recently, and they have managed to take 25 points from their 16 games which has seen them sitting just a point below the European positions. In their last five they have won just twice though, and they are in need of a win to continue their charge up the table. Schalke, on the other hand, have been superb, and they are in second-place in the league. 29 points from their 16 games is a good return, while they are unbeaten in their last five. With nine points between themselves and first-placed Bayern Munich, a win is vital if they are to maintain their pursuit of the reigning champions.

Tip: Away win @ 21/10

15:00 Brighton vs Burnley

Two teams in vastly contrasting form come together in the Premier League on Saturday as the busy festive period in England continues. Brighton are in woeful form of late, losing four of their last five games. With just 17 points, they are slipping dangerously close to the relegation zone, which means a win and a change of fortunes is vital. Burnley, on the other hand, have been outstanding this season. Nine wins, four draws and four defeats has seen them into sixth, a point above Arsenal, and only out of the Champions League places on goal difference. On current form, there is surely only one winner here.

Tip: Away win @ 11/5

17:30 Manchester City vs Tottenham

In what may yet prove to be the game of the weekend, Tottenham travel to face Manchester City on Saturday. Manchester City have been incredible this season and they are on a 15 game winning run. 16 wins and one draw has seen them take a commanding 11 point lead at the top, and it looks like nobody can stop them. That is where Tottenham come in though. Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be relishing the chance to end City’s winning run, and if Harry Kane and Dele Alli can hit top form, then they may just be the ones to do it.

Tip: Away win @ 5/1

17:30 Eibar vs Valencia

Eibar have been in good form of late and they are unbeaten in their last four games, which has helped the side move onto 18 points, six clear of Alaves in 18th. 16 goals scored is fairly good, but they have conceded 27 times which is simply not good enough. By contrast, Valencia have been outstanding this season. 35 goals scored and just 14 conceded is a very good record, and they are just five points behind leaders Barcelona, meaning they need a win to keep the pressure up on the top side.

Tip: Away win @ 8/5

Sunday 17th December

19:45 Atalanta vs Lazio

Serie A has been one of the most competitive leagues this season, with a number of sides battling for supremacy. Atalanta have picked up 23 points this campaign following six wins, five draws and five defeats. They are 12 clear of the relegation zone, while they are just four points behind Sampdoria in the European places. Lazio have also been very good, taking 32 points so far this season. They are just eight off the top with a game in hand, meaning a win would really put the pressure on the teams above them.

Tip: Away win @ 2/1
