20th October: Sunday’s Football Accumulator – 7/1

With Britain’s top-tiers making a return following on from the international break, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips that can help boost your Sunday acca:

Sunday 20th October

BST 12:00 Accrington Stanley vs Ipswich Town

Starting with Sunday’s guests, putting in yet another dominant display and picking up a 4-0 win over Gillingham last weekend, it has been a stellar start to the new League One campaign for Ipswich. Yet to taste defeat since returning to England’s third-tier over the summer, Paul Lambert’s men are now in the midst of a five-match winning run and the mood in East Anglia continues to soar. One man who is spearheading the Blues’ title charge and to watch out for this weekend will be leading marksman, Kayden Jackson. Once again finding the net against Gillingham last weekend, the 25-year-old has now found the net in back-to-back appearances and has already bagged six goals this season. As for Sunday’s hosts, with Accrington Stanley suffering a 2-1 defeat against Rochdale last weekend, they still find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap. Holding just a two-point buffer over the drop zone, they have won just one of their opening five League One matches at the Wham Stadium. It should also be noted that Accrington have not recorded a clean sheet in their last 19 straight matches in Lancashire.

Tip: Kayden Jackson to score anytime @ 13/8

15:00 12:15 Hearts vs Rangers

Putting five past Hamilton prior to the international break, Rangers have continued to capitalize on Celtic’s slip-ups and now hold a two-point buffer at the top of the table. Dreaming of clinching their first Premiership crown in almost a decade, Steven Gerrard’s men have won their last four domestic matchups on the bounce and their free-scoring antics have really started to catch the eye. Scoring 17 goals on their winning run, one man who has continued to shine so far this season is leading marksman, Jermaine Defoe. Picking up the match ball against Hamilton a fortnight ago, the former England international has already found the net nine times this season, including six in his last three outings. Given Hearts’ continued issues heading into October, Defoe should be confident of extending his recent purple patch on Sunday lunchtime. Winning just one of their opening eight appearances and pressure really starting to mount on Head Coach Craig Levin, a huge part of their struggles has come down to some very worrying displays in Edinborough. Losing back-to-back matches at Tynecastle, they have yet to pick up a win on home soil since the end of March.

Tip: Jermaine Defoe to score anytime @ 5/6

16:30 Manchester United vs Liverpool

Snatching the most dramatic of winners against Leicester before the international break, Jurgen Klopp’s men are really starting to believe that this is their year. Now holding a commanding eight-point buffer over the defending champions, Liverpool are the only side to boast a 100% start to the 2019/2020 campaign. Winning each of their opening eight appearances, the former Borussia Dortmund boss also sees his side enjoying a remarkable 17 match unbeaten run in England’s top-tier. With the mood around Anfield continuing to soar, there is no doubt that the Reds will rightfully travel to Old Trafford as the favorite. Putting in yet another woeful display away at St. James’ Park and slumping to a 1-0 defeat against relegation scrappers Newcastle a fortnight ago, Manchester United have a freefallen down to 12th in the standings and have now failed to win any of their last five matches within 90 minutes. Also in the midst of their worst domestic start in over 30 years, the Red Devils have won just two of their last 13 Premier League matches and this weekend could prove to be another long afternoon for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Tip: Liverpool to score over 1.5 goals @ 8/11
