With a huge afternoon of Boxing Day action from across England’s footballing tiers, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips that can boost your Christmas acca:

Wednesday 26th December

BST 15:00 Tottenham vs Bournemouth

Starting with the hosts on boxing day, after putting six past Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon, their are whispers around north London that Tottenham could be becoming title contenders. Now sat just two points adrift of Manchester City in the table, Spurs are enjoying a three-match winning run, a run that also saw them knock Arsenal out of the EFL Cup. While Harry Kane has been at his usual best and has been a constant supply of goals for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, the Argentinian boss will be very impressed by the form of winger Heung-Min Son. Putting in a Man of the Match performance on Merseyside and scoring a brace against the Toffees, the 26-year-old now has five in his last five domestic matchups for Spurs. Given Bournemouth’s worrying defensive issues of late, the South Korean international should be confident of extending that tally on Boxing Day. Now losing three of their last four across all competitions, the Cherries 2-0 win over Brighton on Saturday was their first clean sheet in their last eight attempts. The south coast side have also now shipped eight goals in their last four matches away from the Vitality Stadium.

Tip: Son Heung-min to score anytime @ 5/4

15:00 Crystal Palace vs Cardiff

Well, although some around Selhurst Park were concerned that Crystal Palace could be slipping into a Christmas relegation battle, their shocking 3-2 win at the Etihad has breathed new life into Roy Hodgson’s side. Now picking up back to back Premier League wins, the south London side have claimed nine points from five games in December, equalling the tally they had from their opening 13 matches of the season. Looking to plan a push up the table, the former England boss should also be boosted by their recent run of performances on home soil. The Eagles have now won their last two matches at Selhurst Park without conceding a single goal in return. After scoring three against the defending champions, Palace should be confident of putting in another eye-catching showing on Boxing Day. With Cardiff shipping five against Manchester United on Saturday, the Bluebirds now hold the second worst defensive record in the top flight and are tipped by many to be a leading contender in the battle to avoid the drop. Neil Warnock’s side are still looking for a first win away from the Cardiff City Stadium this season and have now conceded six goals in their last two away matches against Watford and West Ham.

Tip: Home win and over 2.5 goals @ 6/4

15:00 West Brom vs Wigan

Showing real signs of improvement after battling back from a tricky run of form in October, West Brom’s 4-0 win against Rotherham on Saturday has re-cemented their spot as a major contender in the promotion race. Now unbeaten in their last seven Championship matches, it will be their form in the final third most impressing Darren Moore. Already scoring 50 goals this season, no team holds a better-attacking record in England’s second-tier. A huge part of the Baggies attacking success has come thanks to the form of the in from Newcastle loanee Dwight Gayle. Confirming he might be making his stay at The Hawthorns a permanent one, the 28-year-old bagged a hat-trick over the weekend and also has four in his last four Championship appearances. Given Wigan’s woeful record on the road, Gayle should be confident of extending his tally on Boxing Day. The Royals are now without a win in their last nine Championship away days, losing eight of those matchups. Now recording just one clean sheet in their last 10 matches, we’re backing the West Brom marksman to once again find the net on Wednesday.

Tip: Dwight Gayle to score anytime @ 11/10
