6th October: Sunday’s Football Accumulator – 8/1

With a hectic Sunday of footballing action from across the globe, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips that can boost your weekend acca:

Sunday 6th October

BST 14:00 Southampton vs Chelsea

Starting with Sunday’s guests, picking up their first European victory under Frank Lampard thanks to a 2-1 win away at Lille in midweek, Chelsea appear to be finding their feet under the former England midfielder. Now enjoying a three-match winning run across all competitions and also booking their spot in the fourth round of this year’s EFL Cup, there is no doubt that fans in West London will be most impressed by the Blues’ youthful resurge. Already fielding their youngest Premier League starting XI in their history, one man who has continued to shine this season is leading marksman Tammy Abraham. Bagging his maiden Champions League goal on Wednesday and also receiving a first senior call up to the England squad, the 21-year-old has already recorded seven top-flight goals heading into October. Given Southampton’s recent domestic issues, Abraham should be confident of extending that tally this weekend. Now suffering back-to-back defeats against Bournemouth and Spurs, Sunday’s hosts have also failed to win any of their last five Premier League matches at St. Mary’s. It is also worth noting that the Saints have failed to record a clean sheet on home soil since the end of February. Tip:

Tammy Abraham to score anytime @ 20/21

14:00 Lille vs Nimes

Although Lille might be coming off the back of their 2-1 Europa League defeat against Chelsea on Wednesday night, Christophe Galtier’s men have enjoyed a stable start to the new Ligue 1 campaign. Already find themselves back in the top-four in France’s top-tier, Les Dogues are unbeaten in their last four domestic appearances and have their sights set on landing back-to-back European finishes. One man to watch out for this weekend will be Lille’s new attacking talisman, Victor Osimhen. Doing a very impressive job of filling the void left my Nicolas Pepe’s departure over the summer, the 20-year-old also bagged his own Champions League maiden strike in midweek and is reportedly attracting interest from across Europa. The Nigerian youngster has also recorded six Ligue 1 strikes entering October, no player in France’s top-tier has bagged more goals than Osimhen so far this season. With Nimes once again struggling in their defeat at home against fellow strugglers Saint-Etienne last weekend, Sunday’s guests have now lost back-to-back defeats and have also failed to pick up a victory in their last five matches away from the Stade des Costières.

Tip: Victor Osimhen to score anytime @ 6/5

21:00 Vancouver Whitecaps vs Real Salt Lake

Starting with Sunday’s hosts, while Vancouver may have all but secured the wooden spoon in the Western Conference this season, the Whitecaps have undoubtedly saved their best performances for the back end of the campaign. Picking up a dramatic 4-3 win over play-off finalists LA Galaxy at the BC Place Stadium, Marc Dos Santos’ men are now enjoying a three-match unbeaten run, their best run since the start of June. Although any chance of a top-seven finish in the West has been off the table for some time, there is no doubt that fans around British Columbia will be desperate for their side to finish on a high. Given Real Salt Lake’s sluggish end to the season, Vancouver should be confident of picking up three points this weekend. With Sunday’s guests now winning just one of their final four MLS regular campaign appearances, Freddy Juarez’s men have also won just one of their previous nine matches on the road, a run that stems back to the 12th of May. With Vancouver picking up a 2-0 win the last time Salt Lake visited the BC Place Stadium, the Whitecaps should be confident of ending their campaign on a high.

Tip: Vancouver draw no bet @ 5/4
