8th October: Tuesday’s National League Accumulator – 7/1

While the Premier League and Europe’s top-tiers might be drawing to a close for the international break, that doesn’t mean we’re short of action from England’s fifth-tier. On that note, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips that can boost your midweek National League acca:

Tuesday 8th October

BST 19:45 Ebbsfleet vs Torquay

Starting with Tuesday’s guests, while Torquay’s form entering October may have been worrying many around the Plainmoor Ground, the Gulls have really bounced back in some style. Putting in yet another dominant display and picking up a 2-1 win over last year’s play-off finishers AFC Flyde over the weekend, Head Coach Gary Johnson has seen his side now land back-to-back victories and their form in the final third will be most impressing the former Yeovil boss. Led by leading marksman Jamie Reid who has already bagged nine National League goals and leads the goalscoring charts, Torquay have bagged two or more goals in each of their previous three outings and should be confident of extending that tally in midweek. While the guests might find themselves in a battle to secure a play-off finish, Ebbsfleet find themselves in a very different position. Coming off the back of a 2-0 loss away at Harrogate last weekend, they have now suffered back-to-back defeats and have won just one of their last eight fifth-tier appearances. Now sat at the foot of the table and holding the second-worst defensive record in the division, Tuesday could prove to be another long night for Ebbsfleet.

Tip: Torquay to score over 1.5 goals @ 6/5

19:45 Eastleigh vs Maidenhead

While Eastleigh may have managed to pick up just a single victory in their opening six National League matches this season, Ben Strevens’ men have bounced back in some style. Picking up a 2-1 win away at Chesterfield over the weekend, they are now enjoying a three-match unbeaten run, a run that also saw them pick up a 3-2 win away at fellow play-off hopefuls Torquay last month. With Tuesday’s hosts now losing just one of their last seven fifth-tier outings since the end of August, it should also be noted that Eastleigh have lost just one of their previous nine National League matches at the Silverlake Stadium, a run that stems back to the 2nd of April. With the mood in their camp at a continued high and playing their best football that they have so far this season, there is no doubt that Strevens’ men should be looking to cash in on Maidenhead’s continued struggles. Suffering a 1-0 loss against league leaders Halifax on Saturday, Tuesday’s hosts are enduring a three-match losing run and have failed to win any of their last seven domestic matchups.

Tip: Eastleigh win @ 5/6

19:45 Wrexham vs Harrogate Town

Starting with Tuesday’s hosts, despite being tipped as one of the leading contenders to be in the promotion hunt this season, it has been a very worrying start for Wrexham. Coming off the back of a 1-1 draw against Woking over the weekend, the Welsh outfit have now turned to former boss Dean Keates in an attempt to steady the ship. With only their goal difference keeping them out of the drop zone, the Reds have won just one of their last 11 National League appearances, a run that stems all the way back to the 13th of August. With the mood around the Racecourse Ground the lowest it has been in recent memory, a resurgent Harrogate should be looking to extend their winning run. Now within touching distance of climbing into the play-off positions, Simon Weaver’s men have now won their last three National League matchups on the bounce, including a 1-0 win over league leaders Halifax last month. Also recording three consecutive clean sheets on their winning run and yet to taste defeat in any of their last five appearances, Harrogate will travel to Wrexham filled with confidence.

Tip: Harrogate Town draw no bet @ 1/1
