AC Milan join race to sign Llorente

Talk Sport are today reporting that AC Milan have joined the race to sign unsettled Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente in the January transfer window.

Barcelona, Juventus, Liverpool and Arsenal are all set to be admires of the Spanish international, but none of them were able to secure his services in the summer.

The striker has not played a minute of football for the Basque Country club this campaign, so it seems as though they are getting used to life without him.

If Bilbao are willing to let Llorente go, then they will want to do so in the New Year, as his current deal at the club runs out at the end of this season so he could leave on a free – something they are sure to do all they can to stop happening.

It is though that the Serie A giants Milan will keep tabs on the 27-year-old, who has also been linked with a move to the English Premier League.

With so many teams possibility chasing his signature, this could be one of the biggest transfer stories in January.

However, there is still a chance for Bilbao and Llorente to resolve their issues, as he won’t be going anywhere for a few months yet.

We shall see.
