AC Monza and AS Roma will lock horns with each other in Serie A this weekend. The match between I Biancorossi and I Giallorossi will be held at Stadio Brianteo and is scheduled to kick off at 5 pm UK time on Saturday.

AC Monza

AC Monza are a modest club in Italy who are happy to just stay in Serie A. They ended up as high as 11th in the Serie A table last season and will be more than happy if they end up in a similar position this time around.

And, there is a very good chance that AC Monza will finish in mid-table in Serie A this season. They are now 11th in the league table with 36 points from 26 matches. That they are above the likes of Genoa, Udinese and Empoli shows how strong they are.

Raffaele Palladino’s side will head into the Serie A match against AS Roma on the back of a 2-0 victory over Salernitana away from home in the league. It came after a 4-2 victory over AC Milan at home in the league which followed a goalless draw with Hellas Verona.

Team News:

AC Monza are likely to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation against AS Roma. Michele Di Gregorio will be in goal for the home team. Samuele Birindelli, Armando Izzo, Pablo Mari and Andrea Carboni will be the four defenders. Roberto Gagliardini and Matteo Pessina will be the two holding midfielders. Andrea Colpani, Valentin Carboni and Dany Mota will be the three attacking midfielders. Milan Djuric will lead the line for AC Monza.

AS Roma

AS Roma are one of the biggest and most historic clubs in Serie A, and they are doing well at the moment. Things have changed for the better for the Italian club ever since Jose Mourinho was let go. Roma could end up in the top four of the Serie A table this season.

Daniele De Rossi’s side are sixth in the Serie A table at the moment with 44 points from 26 matches. Roma are only four points behind Bologna, who are currently fourth and occupy the final UEFA Champions League spot in the standings.

Roma will head into the Serie A match against AC Monza on the back of a 3-2 victory over Torino at the Stadio Olimpico in the league. They have won four of their last five league games and are I great form at the moment.

Team News:

AS Roma are likely to line up against AC Monza in a 3-5-2 formation. Mike Svilar will be in goal and will have Gianluca Mancini, Chris Smalling and Evan Ndicka in front of him in defence. Bryan Cristante, Leandro Paredes and Lorenzo Pellegrini will be in midfield. Rasmus Kristensen and Angelino will be the two wingers. Paulo Dybala and Sardar Azmoun will be the two forwards.

Key Factors to Consider

  • AC Monza have won 3 of their last 5 Serie A matches.
  • AC Monza have conceded 30 goals in 26 Serie A matches so far this season.
  • AS Roma have won 4 of their last 5 Serie A games.
  • AS Roma have scored 48 goals in 26 Serie A games so far this season.
  • Paulo Dybala has scored 11 goals and given 6 assists in 18 Serie A games for AS Roma.

AC Monza are doing well at the moment and are in good form. They are also at home for this match. However, AS Roma have the better team and are also in great form. It is very likely that the Roman club will pick up all three points from the encounter at Stadio Brianteo.

Prediction: AS Roma to win 2-1
