According to a report from Sky Italia, representatives from both AC Milan and Genoa will be meeting tomorrow in order to finalise the transfer of Krzysztof Piatek. The fee is believed to be around £31 million, in addition to some bonuses that will come into effect with Champions League qualification. The deal has moved pretty quickly from when Milan first set their sights on him, and now, it appears as if they could have one of the next great Polish forwards on their hands.
This deal will also allow Gonzalo Higuain to complete his switch over to Chelsea, which many were actually expecting to happen before this. The Higuain deal is said to be on a loan basis until June, with the possibility of extending it for another 12 months depending on certain conditions and stipulations being met.
Either way, though, this feels like a big win for Milan as Piatek, at the age of just 23, has a serious amount of potential.
