Adrian Lopez set for Porto switch; PSG in bid for Aurier

hot-transfer-newsAdrian Lopez set for Porto switch

El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Atletico Madrid forward Adrian Lopez is set to complete a move to FC Porto.

The highly rated footballer has left the pre-season preparations in order to undergo a medical at Estadio do Dragao, which is enough to suggest the deal will be wrapped up in the coming days.

After Atletico had decided to accept a €15 million offer from the Dragons, the Portuguese side also managed to reach an agreement with the player’s representatives, thus making a giant step towards announcing the first marque signing of the summer.

Despite playing an important role in the season finale, Adrian Lopez decided to leave los Colchoneros in search of first team football, but many will be surprised he has opted for Porto having been followed by some of Europe’s top clubs.

The 26-year-old has managed a total of 90 La Liga outings since arriving from Deportivo La Coruna, scoring 11 goals.

Adrian Lopez currently has two Spain caps to his name, but it’s now been over two years since he last played for La Furia Roja.

PSG in bid for Aurier

L’Equipe has learned that Paris Saint-Germain have submitted an official proposal for Toulouse full-back Serge Aurier.

The Saints turned their attention towards the Ivory Coast starlet after their interest in Dani Alves cooled off and they have now stepped up their efforts.

PSG are on the lookout for a new right-sided defender and they believe Aurier is a great long-term solution.

The Ivorian is set to leave Toulouse for greener pastures this summer and he is keen on a Premier League switch.

However, with sides from England yet to make their moves, Aurier has admitted he would consider offers from PSG and Monaco as well.

Although it appears the Principality club will not be making their interest concrete as not all members of the sporting department are convinced the 21-year-old is the right man for the job.

Lyon eyeing USA starlet

Lyon are readying summer bid for Seattle Sounders full-back DeAndre Yedlin, according to L’Equipe.

Les Gones officials have been impressed by the player’s performances at the 2014 World Cup, while new boss Hubert Fournier has given the green light to try and lure the youngster to Stade Gerland.

The initial contacts between the two clubs have been established and the latest reports suggest Yedlin could be available for as little as €2.5 million.

However, the problem is that AS Roma and Liverpool are also keen on the 21-year-old right-back who can also play as a right midfielder.

DeAndre Yedlin joined Seattle Sounders from University of Akron in 2012 and has since made a total of 44 MLS appearances, scoring 2 goals.

Despite not featuring in the qualifying campaign, the youngster made Jurgen Klinsmann’s World Cup squad and went on to feature in three matches at the tournament finals.
