Picking up three points in their National League opener over the weekend, AFC Flyde will welcome Chorley to Mill Farm on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, opening their National League campaign with an impressive 2-1 win away at Aldershot last weekend, the mood in AFC Flyde’s camp is on a high and Dave Challinor’s men their sights set on securing a spot in the Football League this season. Eventually falling to Salford at Wembley back in May, one man to watch in midweek could be attacking talisman, Danny Rowe. Converting from the spot to secure the win away at Aldershot on Saturday, the 29-year-old also registered 27 National League goals last season and also lifted the Golden Boot in England’s fifth-tier.

As for the visitors, while a dramatic penalty shoot-out may have seen Chorley secure back-to-back promotions and earn a debut year in the National League, Jamie Vermiglio’s men have struggled over the summer. Playing out a lackluster 0-0 draw against Bromley over the weekend, the White and Blacks have failed to win any of their last three appearances and fans around Lancashire will have growing concerns over Chorley’s form in the final third. Tuesday’s guests have not recorded a single goal in almost 300 minutes of action and have scored more than once in just one of their last seven contests.
