Genoa midfielder Juraj Kucka’s agent has claimed that Inter Milan tried to bring the player to the San Siro in January.
Claudio Ranieri’s side had been tipped to buy out the Slovakia international’s playing rights during the recent transfer window, but according to the player agent Karol Ksonto, it was then agreed that he should finish the season with Pasquale Marino’s outfit.
“Inter tried to sign Juraj as early as in the January transfer window,” the agent told InterNews.
“In recent days we had talked so much, with representatives from both teams entering discussions, but we came to the conclusion that the best solution was for Juraj to finish the season at Genoa.”
Kucka is currently co-owned by Genoa and Inter, after the Milanese side bought 50 per cent of his signature last summer.
