Aguero set to offered new deal

Manchester City are set to offer Sergio Aguero a bumper new deal in a bid to deter interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid, according to the Independent.

The proposed new deal for the Argentina international in worth a staggering £210,000 per week, a shade more than that that’s on the table for club captain Vincent Kompany.

Aguero moved to the Etihad in the summer of 2011 and scored thirty goals in his first season with the club, the last of which famously clinching the 2011/12 Premier League title on a dramatic final day of that campaign.

He has added another forty-five goals over the past two campaigns, adding another league championship medal and a League Cup medal to his collection last season.

The 26 year old was part of the Argentina squad that finished as runners-up in this summer’s World Cup finals, though he failed to complete ninety minutes at the tournament due to an ongoing injury problem.
