(GSM) – Ajax stayed within four points of leaders Twente with a 7-0 demolition of VVV Venlo on Sunday thanks to trebles by Luis Suárez and Marko Pantelic, while PSV Eindhoven fell off the pace a bit after a 0-0 home draw with Feyenoord.

Uruguayan striker Suárez opened the scoring for high-flying Ajax in the fifth minute, then followed it up four minutes later from the spot after Niels Fleurens’ foul in the area.

It was 3-0 after just 12 minutes when Pantelic bulged the net, and Urby Emanuelson bagged the fourth on 38 minutes.

Suárez then got his third in the 42nd minute to make it 5-0 to the Amsterdam side at the half-time break.

Pantelic took over the scoring duties in the second half, making it 6-0 in the 75th minute before completing his hat-trick 10 minutes from time.

PSV, now, are seven points off the pace and almost assuredly out of the title hunt after they were held to a disappointing draw at home by Feyenoord.

Ajax now have 96 goals on the season, and look certain to crack the century mark with their current pace, but they could still miss out on the title.

Twente’s next two games are at AZ and at home against Feyenoord, but they will likely secure the title if they can survive that stretch.
