West Bromwich Albion signed England goalkeeper Scott Carson from Liverpool for 3.25 million pounds (four million euros) on Friday.
Carson agreed a four-year contract with Tony Mowbray’s newly promoted Premier League club, who also have the option of extending the deal by another year.
Albion won the race to sign the 22-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, after Stoke announced they had ended their interest earlier this week.
