Alexis Sanchez to join Man United in the next 48 hours

After so much discussion, rumour and uncertainty, Alexis Sanchez finally seems to be set to make his move away from Arsenal. The destination is Old Trafford, and, according to the Express, everything will be finalised within the next 48 hours.

The Chilean international was left out of Arsene Wenger’s squad for the Gunners’ defeat to Bournemouth this weekend, and reports suggest that it was as a result of the ongoing negotiations between his agents and those of Manchester United.

Sanchez has registered seven goals and three assists in 19 Premier League appearances this season, despite all of the uncertainty, and he remains one of the league’s top players.

Interestingly the winger had been heavily linked with a switch to Manchester City, especially following the injury to key forward Gabriel Jesus, but it now seems to be the Red Devils who are primed to secure his services.

Having seemingly let City run away with the league title this season, it is little surprise that Jose Mourinho is looking to bolster his squad, and the addition of Sanchez would make them a formidable force indeed.
