Alvarez confident of Inter success

Inter Milan attacker Ricky Alvarez is confident his team have what it takes to challenge for top honours this term.

Andrea Stramaccioni’s team went through a difficult 2011/12 campaign as they had to settle for sixth spot in Serie A.

But the attacking midfielder feels they have the quality to do better this season.

“I really like this Inter because we have players with a lot of quality. I am confident that we can do well this season,” Alvarez told Sky Sports Italia.

“We have some very strong new players. We will now have to get used to each other and see how we function as a team.

“We still need to work on certain aspects of our game and have to improve. We’re working hard in training, though, to do just that.”

Inter have collected three points from their opening two league games.
