Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has revealed his excitement at facing former club AC Milan in a friendly match on Wednesday.

The 52-year-old, who was appointed as the new coach of the Ligue 1 leaders on Friday, said that although the fixture will play a major role in helping him understand his new squad better, he admits playing against his former club is a mouth-watering prospect.

“The Rossoneri will be a major test,” said Ancelotti. “These days will be critical for me to understand our style of play and the quality of my players.”

“I must admit, though, it will be a little strange to face AC Milan, I’m excited. I have fond memories of my time spent in Milan.”

The match will kick off at Al Ahli’s Rashid Stadium in Dubai.
