AC Milan defender Luca Antonini bemoaned Sulley Muntari’s disallowed goal in his team’s 1-1 draw with Juventus on Saturday.

Scudetto holders Milan led thanks to Antonio Nocerino’s effort early in the match at San Siro, and Muntari’s ‘goal’ would have given the hosts a commanding 2-0 advantage.

But the Ghanaian’s header was not deemed to have crossed the line by the assistant referee, and Alessandro Matri went on to equalise for Juve.

“We played the game as we had to do, as we were missing many players and attempted to cover those absences,” Antonini told Milan’s official website.

“At 2-0 it would have been a different game. I’m a bit angry and disappointed because we deserved to win and instead go out only with a point.”

“We were a bit tired before their equaliser; they took advantage. But we played a good game and we have nothing to regret. We must continue to play like this.”

With the spoils shared, Milan remain the top of Serie A, but Juventus are only a point behind and have a game in hand over the league leaders.
