Former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah has agreed terms with Serbian top flight side Vojvodina.

Appiah was unveiled on Friday and club officials hope his experience will help make a difference in their league form.

“There is no doubt that the arrival of the experienced player Appiah is the biggest transfer in the history of the club,” a Vojvodina statement read.

The 31-year-old former Ghana captain had been without a club since leaving Italian side Cesena last season.

The former Juventus midfielder retired from international football a few months after the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
