Arsenal 1/1 to beat Watford in Sunday’s Premier League showdown

Competition: Premier League

Market: Arsenal win

Odds: 1/1 @ Bet 365

Looking to ruin Quique Sánchez Flores’ homecoming party, Arsenal will make the trip across London to Vicarage Road on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, with many still surprised to have seen Javi Garcia replaced by former boss Quique Sánchez Flores over the international break, Watford are a side in desperate need of a response. Managing to snatch a controversial point against Newcastle last time out, the Hornets still find themselves sat at the foot of the table and are still searching for their first win so far. With many around Vicarage Road fearing their side could be at the heart of a relegation scrap after such a fruitful campaign last season, Sunday’s hosts have now failed to win any of their last eight top-flight outings, a run that stems back to the middle of April.

As for the visitors, while the Gunners may have been disappointed to have only snatched a point off of Spurs prior to the break, Unai Emery will be overjoyed by his side coming back from two goals behind. With their sights firmly set on landing a Champions League return come May, Arsenal will also be boosted by their most recent meetings against Watford. Sunday’s guests have won each of their last three meetings against the Hornets, including a 1-0 win away at Vicarage Road back in April. Showing some real improvements since opening the 2019/2020 campaign, Arsenal should be confident of extending their impressive start this weekend.
