Arsenal 7/5 to beat Cologne in Thursday’s Europa League clash

Competition: Europa League

Market: Arsenal to beat Cologne

Odds: 7/5 @ Bet365

The Europa League returns this week with a number of vitally important games as the competition reaches the business end of proceedings. With most teams still in with a chance of progressing from the groups, the fifth game in the competition could take a team from the bottom-half of the group to a place that would see them make the knock-out stages of the competition. With this in mind, Arsenal travel to Germany to face Cologne on Thursday evening.

Cologne have been in awful form this season as they have really struggled in Group H. After four games they have won just once, losing the other three games, meaning they have only collected three points. The German side are currently seven points shy of Arsenal at the top, but they are only two points behind Red Star Belgrade in second, meaning a win would be massive in their quest to make the knock-out stages of the competition. However, they will need to tighten up at the back as they have conceded seven goals already, although they have scored six times, showing that they can score goals.

For Arsenal, another win would guarantee them of a first-place in the group. After four games they are still unbeaten, winning three games and drawing the other. Along the way they have netted eight times and conceded just three goals. The English side have dominated their group with ease and they look like a very tough proposition to face in the competition. With this in mind, we are backing Arsenal to win with odds of 7/5 from Bet365.
