Arsenal and Newcastle United scouting Kenneth Taylor

Arsenal and Newcastle United are interested in Kenneth Taylor from Ajax, according to CaughtOffSide. The report has claimed that Premier League duo Arsenal and Newcastle have been scouting and monitoring the 22-year-old defensive midfielder since the start of the season.

CaughtOffSide has noted that Aston Villa and Napoli have also been following the development of Taylor. While Ajax do not want to sell the Netherlands international, a transfer fee of €35 million could be enough for them to reconsider their stance.

Taylor has been on the books of Ajax since 2010 and has established himself in the first team after coming through the youth system. The 22-year-old has scored two goals and given two assists in seven starts and four substitute appearances in the Eredivisie so far this season. The Netherlands international has scored three goals and provided one assist in four UEFA Europa League matches for Ajax so far this campaign as well.
